Welcome to this little article where you are going to learn how to install and run Trust Wallet on PC in a series of simple steps.

What is Trust Wallet?

Trust Wallet is the official Binance cryptocurrency wallet for mobile phones. Which allows you to see prices, buy, store, collect NFT and exchange. Available for IOS and Android, it is one of the most downloaded cryptocurrency apps inthe ecosystem, due to its high security.

Trust Wallet is similar to Metamask, with the difference that it is more secure and does not operate with decentralized platforms, as it does not integrate with the web browser. With this wallet it is not necessary to exit the application to exchange assets, since it already has its own exchange service.

Users must also define a blocking code for transfers (either by numerical code such as touch id or face id), which prevents anyone from using the app without being unlocked and the option to request to send a transaction can also be activated.

Trust Wallet supports Ethereum ERC20 and ERC223 tokens that can also be exchanged for other currencies. There are thousands of tokens and we can add decentralized application tokens from the Dapps section since they use the ERC20 standard.

Is Trust wallet safe?

This is the question asked by any cryptocurrency user who wants to store their crypto assets in a wallet outside of their exchange, since colder storage also involves risks.

The answer is simple, if it is certain. First of all, it is backed by Binance, one of the most important exchanges in the world, so we can always go to support to explain our case if any misfortune happens to us.

But you also have to talk about the security that Trust Wallet incorporates. This crypto wallet generates with a biometric algorithm a public and private key that is encrypted within the application itself so that all information is isolated from the internet , except when a transfer is made.

Another security feature that we found surprising is that we can perfectly create a new account without having an internet connection (you can do the test). And only the internet will be required to check the balance or sign a transaction.

The only thing that differentiates this Wallet from a hardware wallet is that a mobile phone is always more exposed to hacks than a physical device without connection. A priori it may seem that it is much more risky, but arguing against this, there are many scams with hardware wallets and it is not necessary to have the app installed on the mobile to continue hosting our cryptocurrencies. The 12 keywords are more than enough to recover the wallet in any circumstance and under any device.

¿Trust Wallet permite Staking?

The platform allows staking from the finance panel. This is obtaining passive income thanks to the new Proof of work algorithms that some cryptocurrencies implement. And although it may seem like a scam, it really is not. To staking we simply have to choose the currency we want, click on “more” and then on “stake”. Finally, we will click on “send” to confirm the transaction to the staking account.

Does Trust Wallet support NFT?

Trust Wallet is compatible with Ethereum tokens so it allows you to store non-fungible tokens or NFTs. They are used to save any digital art piece in a token form. That is, digital pieces that can be collected and that have the validity or security of the Blockchain. This allows us to have a certificate of authenticity that verifies whether a work is authentic or not despite the fact that identical copies of it can be made.
